The Land of OZ is filled with a talented troupe of young performers who bring life to the classic story. The one hour version of "The Wizard of OZ" is based on the legendary MGM musical film and has all of the wonderful songs audiences are familiar with.

Katheryn Cooper is one of the talented performers. She and her family moved to the Philadelphia region in February of 2012 from Arkansas. Finding a home in Delaware County, the young singer/ actress discovered The Media Theatre, a professional music theatre, was nearby.

She started her time with the theatre in the summer of that year, becoming a contestant in "Delco Idol Jr" and checking out Camp Media Theatre. She was an actress in the youth productions of "Adventures of the Three Little Pigs", and "Alice In Wonderland" as well as Artistic Director Jesse Cline's Broadway Series production of "Dr Dolittle".

In summer 2013, she was a vocal contestant in the revamped and re-titled summer singing contest "The Vocalist Junior".

Katheryn Cooper portrays the Coroner Munchkin in "Wizard of OZ" and is also an Ozian, singing the song "Merry Old Land of OZ". She loves to perform and also plays piano and trumpet. She writes stories in her 'spare' time and attends fifth grade at Garnet Valley Elementary School where she is in the student council, band, choir, and Reading Olympics. Think she's busy? She's also a student in The New School at The Media Theatre.

All Youth Series and Broadway Series productions at The Media Theatre are produced by Media Music Theatre Company, the non-profit professional music theatre organization housed at The Media Theatre.
