IMPROV CLASS AT MEDIA THEATRE WITH SECOND CITY TRAINING CENTER ALUM

The Media Theatre continues its new Improv Class for Teens and Adults, instructed by Robert Huntington of Chicago’s famous Second City Training Center, where he sharpened his skills in sketch comedy. The class will meet Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8pm. It begins its Spring Session on (no fooling) APRIL 1, 2014. There are 8 weeks of instruction and fun.

A graduate of Second City’s conservatory program, he also sharpened his skills at Improv Olympic and The Victory Gardens Theatre in Chicago. As an actor, Huntington has appeared in productions of The Music Man, I’ll Be Home For Christmas, Uncle Phil’s Diner, and Seasons of Life. His film credits include Invincible, one of the Philly region’s finest cinematic efforts.

The Improv Class for Teens and Adults will be specifically designed so that each participant is able to work on their own level. It will be a fun, sometimes humorous way to encourage self-confidence and self-awareness for actors and to solidify the Sanford Meisner Technique which is the basis for all classes at The Media Theatre. Meisner was a legendary acting instructor who said “Acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance.”
