Actors love to play as many roles as possible--sometimes in the same show! Young Michael Wells is doing just that in The Media Theatre's "The Wizard of OZ" which opens Saturday October 5. It's a treat for young audiences through November 17, with performances Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at Noon.
He is playing Uncle Henry and The Doorman, singing "Merry Old Land of OZ" in the production.
Michael Wells, 12, has been busy at The Media Theatre for a little over a year when he joined Camp Media Theatre in 2012. Since then, he has appeared in two Broadway Series productions (as Tommy in "Dr. Dolittle" and as Peter Dennis in "Mame, alongside the legendary Tony nominated actress Andrea McArdle).
He was also seen as Peter Pinkerton in the hugely successful "Pinkalicious, The Musical" last season and as the White Rabbit in "Alice in Wonderland".
The little guy is also busy off the stage as one of the proprieters of his flower boutique in Springfield, Pa. It's Michael Anthony's Floral Design and may be reached at 484-461-2471.
