The Media Theatre, with its new and classic Broadway musicals being produced by Media Music Theatre Company, looks on "The Bright Side of Life" as it celebrates the opening of its 20th Anniversary Season with Monty Python's "Spamalot".

The Media Music Theatre Company is the professional music theatre organization housed at the historic location on State Street in Media. For two decades, Jesse Cline--Artistic Director for MMTC--has been overseeing the production of shows such as "Show Boat", "Rent", "Miss Saigon", and "The Sound of Music". Acclaimed performers such as Emmy winner Wanda Sykes, Il Divo's David Miller, and the legendary Andrea McArdle have appeared in Cline's productions as well as Justin Guarini, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Ann Crumb (who has a Diva of a role in "Spamalot").

"Spamalot" had a splendid opening night on Friday September 27 with a standing ovation even The Knights of Ni would have found acceptable. The extremely humorous musical plays through November 3 and is based on the film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", all about a somewhat bewildered King Arthur and his eccentric Knights on a hunt for the fabled cup. Along the way, they meet The Lady of the Lake, a very vocal Prince Herbert, and a killer rabbit.

The Media Music Theatre Company has a partnership with Rose Tree Restaurant in which theatre patron may enjoy a dinner and show (matinee or evening) at a reasonable price. Reservations for Rose Tree Restaurant on Route 252 just five minutes from The Media Theatre may be made when ordering tickets at 610-891-0100. Visit mediatheatre.org for more information.

Following "Spamalot", Emmy nominated actor Kyle Lowder of CBS' Bold and the Beautiful, will take on the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" starting November 20.
